Even though I create art in photographic and illustrative form (check out my shop), I wanted to showcase a specific part of my style: nature photographs for sale. You can visit my Fine Art America shop as well. I will be uploading the FAA catalogue with some frequency, so if you like some of the images below, the best thing to do is to check out my page directly for new material.
Below are a few of my favorite photographs so far.
No.1 – Floral texture in black and white.
This floral texure in black and white was shot while visiting Oulu, Finland. I love the depth that the contrast between light and dark creates.
No. 2 – Rings of a tree.
This photograph shows the rings in a tree stump. It is very simple, yet it has an interesting beauty to it. It draws you in.
No.3 – Mushroom in the woods.
I shot this photograph of a mushroom growing in the green forest floor while visiting the island of Turkansaari, in Finland. The floor was completely covered in vegetation, providing a gorgeous backdrop for the mushroom to stand against. This photograph is definitely one of my favorite ones from the gallery.
Nature photographs No.4 – Black and white woods.
I find the above photograph beautifully haunting. The next photograph is the exact same one, but in full color, and you can see the immense difference that this change makes. The black and white version is my favorite of the two, with its haunting, special kind of beauty.
No.5 – The woods in Turkansaari.
This photograph, shot in the woods around the Turkansaari island in Finland, shows the natural beauty that can be easily found around Scandinavia during the summer. The lush green forest floor really struck me when I visited, and the endless rows of trees standing in the woods create a beautiful atmosphere.
No.6 – Cypress leaves.
The last one of the nature photographs is different in its style. This photograph of cypress leaves taken from a very close perspective has a more abstract quality. The play between highlights and shadows, and the complexity of the cypress foliage, creates a beautiful overall composition.
