I found a beautiful galaxy photograph of the Messier 74 Spiral Galaxy, and decided to create a few variations of it. Below, you’ll find these variations, placed on a random sampling of Zazzle products found on my store. Below each of the photo galleries, there’s a link to the complete product line for each variation.
I hope you like them 🙂

Messier 74 galaxy photograph in green and red tints:
Blue-green galaxy photograph (vortex):
This variation diverges much more from the original photograph. The galaxy now resembles a vortex, or a maelstrom in the middle of the ocean. It really drags you in, and creates a beautiful, hypnotizing effect. I specially like how this variation looks on the messenger bag.
Like the previous variation, this image resembles a vortex, and the red coloration makes for a very emotional, bold effect.
More about the Messier 74 galaxy photograph variations:
I decided to create these variations of the famous Messier 74 galaxy photograph, not because the original photograph is not gorgeous, but because I wanted to give it my own personal touch. I had a blast creating these variations, and sincerely hope you like them as well.
Even though they are the most different, my favorite variations are the last ones, which make the galaxy resemble a vortex or maelstrom. They are more abstract, but contain an additional emotional character that is not present in the first variations. The red vortex is specially powerful, and I love how it looks on the messenger bag and the poster.
These products will make a great gift for astronomy geeks, or anyone looking for astronomy-inspired art.
