Zen Doodle designs, or Zentangles, are quite popular, as you can see with a simple search on Pinterest. Besides allowing the artist to create beautiful images with a signature aesthetic, and using simple patterns and doodles that he or she might already be using when doodling away on a notebook, it’s a very relaxing activity.
The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.
Almost anyone can use it to create beautiful images. It increases focus and creativity, provides artistic satisfaction along with an increased sense of personal well being. The Zentangle Method is enjoyed all over this world across a wide range of skills, interests and ages.

I decided to explore this image making method, and created a series of Zen Doodles. Below, you’ll find a list of my favorite ones. You can purchase these Zen Doodle designs on a wide variety of products on my online store, from throw pillows to posters. I only included one product to showcase each Zen Doodle design here, for the sake of brevity and space.
Zen Doodle phone case:
This particular doodle uses a lot of “wormlike” elements. I had just started exploring this particular pattern and went a little crazy with it 🙂 This particular shape helps give it an illusion of depth, and it makes for a very interesting design.
iPad cover doodle design:
The color palette in this particular design is much less contrasting than in other designs in the series. The blues and greens create a cool-colored design, and this design choice is accentuated with the organic patterns used in the doodle.
Zen Doodle photo print:
This Zen Doodle is much more contrasting, bolder, and larger than life than the previous one. It looks great as a print. The red, yellow, and black create a doodle that is full of energy. A great choice to really liven up a space.
Zen Doodle Laptop Sleeve:
I have been told that this particular design resembles a field of wheat. I think that has to do with the color palette, and the organic elements that resemble grains, as well as the circular elements that might be interpreted as crop circles at some level. The color choice is more subdued than some other doodles in this series, making for a design that is great for a wide variety of products and situations.
Poster with doodle design:
Perhaps my favorite Zen Doodle in the series. This design integrates many elements and colors in a fun way. The design is full of details, and it definitely has a lot of focal points. But overall, it still maintains a certain balance, and the overall composition is quite pleasing.
Zen Doodle Messenger Bag:
Blue is my favorite color, so this design is very special to me. I decided to tone down the color changes, and to create larger sections and shapes, combined with smaller, finer details. The resulting doodle is both elegant and fun, and it looks specially good on this messenger bag.
