The abstract geometric cypress foliage photograph is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, photograph in the series. I began by using the photograph of the cypress foliage in more or less its original form. But, from this photograph onward, I started to experiment with a more abstract aesthetic. You can see that I also included more geometric elements in the above photograph. This trend continues in the remaining foliage photographs, as you will see.
Because I did not want to lose the natural beauty of the tree completely, I decided to create a balance. In deciding what to do with the photograph, I strived to balance the natural beauty of the cypress, with bold, angular, geometric shapes. To further increase the boldness and interest of the photograph, I went ahead and created a strong contrast between the areas. The dark, monochrome areas create a sense of calm, balance, and stability. The bright blue shapes, with their jagged edges and strong vertical lines, jump out of the background, demanding attention.
You can place this artwork on your home or office, and it is bound to draw attention, in a positive manner. I think it would look especially dazzling on a room with modern decoration.
