About the Fibonacci Spiral No.1 artwork:
The Fibonacci Spiral No.1 artwork is the first in a series of artworks which explicitly use Fibonacci series and the Golden ratio to create balanced and harmonious compositions. The spiral drawn in this artwork follows, very closely (but not exactly) a spiral that, being inspired by the Fibonacci sequence, looks elegant and natural. The simple composition of the piece makes it an excellent choice for home or office space. The golden ratio and Fibonacci sequences are so common in nature. The spiral used in the design without adding much detail, can easily represent something natural, like a young tree or flower section, a curving extremity, an octopus’ tentacles. The spiral grows tighter and tighter towards the upper right corner of the piece, but it also grows thinner, creating an interesting transition.
The piece reminds me a litle bit of old schoolbooks or geometry textbooks. The beautiful geometry behind the Fibonacci sequence cannot hide, even though the design framework is no longer visible.
This artwork is very special to me. It is the first artwork I have created with the intention of putting the original for sale. All of my past creations have been purely digital, or have used the physical medium as a launchboard for further digital refinement. In the Fibonacci Spiral No.1, I have undertaken a new direction. Still, I love the possibilities that print on demand platforms offer, and you can purchase this artwork as prints or as products in Saatchi Art or Fine Art America.
The piece was drawn on 180 gram paper, with graphite pencil.

I will continue to create artworks based on the Golden Ratio, Fibonacci sequences, and spirals. They are a point of intersection betwen mathematics, design, and nature, which I look to explore further and further. I hope you enjoy this work. If you do, don’t forget to share this page and in that way, allow me to reach a larger audience 🙂
