I created the impossible triangles design as part of an impossible geometry design series for my Design by Hümans store. I have always been fond of impossible shapes and geometry, and wanted to create a bold and memorable design using them. After playing around with the design, I went for the impossible triangle as the basis for the design. I had already used the impossible triangle on a couple of past designs, so I wanted to mix things up a bit in this one. Check out the rest of the designs on my online store.
By using red, blue, and gray for the colors in the impossible shapes, I created a clear distinction between the “sides” of the triangle. Of course, these sides are imaginary, nothing but an optical illusion. These types of images trick your brain into believing there is a three-dimensional image or shape being shown. When you watch the design up close, and the impossibility of the geometric shape becomes apparent here are no sides that could be realistically built.
Showcase your quirky, geeky, impossible-geometry loving side with this design. Since the colors pop against a dark background, use this option if you are looking for a bold look. For a more subdued look, where the triangles blend with the background, go with a lighter tone. I personally love how the colors look against a light blue background, since the sides seem to blend into the white space around.
